This is a variation of the “Hit Away” drill:
The coach is at the net on one side, ad service box. The player begins the drill at the baseline center.
The coach will feed a ball to the player.
For the first rally, the player must hit one ball back to the coach and the second away, to the open court.
For the second rally, the player must hit two balls back to the coach and the third one to the open court.
For the third rally, the player must hit three balls back to the coach followed by a put-away to the open court.
And so on until the player hits five balls in a row to the coach followed by the put-away.
Repeat the drill where the coach switches service boxes.
Great drill for consistency and accuracy.
