The players line up behind the middle of the ad court service line. The coach is on the other side of the net, just inside the baseline, deuce court; he has a basket of balls ready to feed from. (see graphic below)

Drill:
As the coach prepares to feed, the first player in line will move forward by executing a split step then ready to move diagonally across the center line for a simulated doubles poach. The coach’s feed is a doubles simulated cross-court shot from the baseline.
The first player in line will have to poach coach’s feed then move behind the middle of the deuce court service line.
Next player in line will execute the same shot as the previous player and so on until the whole line of players moves to the deuce side.
The drill continues with the players poaching again toward the half they just came from (the coach changes his position on the court as well in order to simulate the cross-court baseline shot).

Notes:
– Cones, as targets, can be placed for players to strategically aim at them.
– The smaller the number of players the better the workout they get out of this drill.
